5 Apps to Help Achieve Your New Year's Resolutions
Whether you are seeking some motivation to finally tackle your New Year’s resolutions, or if you need something to give you a little boost, today I’m sharing the apps that can help you reach your goals this year.
Resolution: Self Care
Hoping to schedule in more self care this year? That is also at the top of my list, and I love that apps can help to make it (almost) fool-proof to accomplish. Headspace is a personal meditation app that can help with stress, motivation, focus, work, and sleep, and they even have a section for kids. Through the guided daily meditation, Headspace can help you check “self care” off of your daily to-do list (bonus: they will even send you a reminder to accomplish your daily meditation!).
Resolution: Meal Planning
If you’re tight on time, want help making sure you buy what’s actually needed from the grocery store, or want to get better about meal planning, Instacart has you covered. Let me tell you, this is the one app that I have used and loved for years. I add ingredients as I’m building out my family’s meal plan for the week, and I can set a delivery time that is convenient for me while I am working from home or on the weekends. Honestly, it’s such a time saver that the delivery charge is completely worth it (in my opinion!), so that I can spend that time focused on something else!
*Bonus: Use promo code RROSENTHAL32 for $10 off your first order!
Resolution: Fitness/Weight Loss
Ready to get started on your fitness resolutions? Aaptiv makes it possible for you to have a personal trainer (without the associated high price tag!), straight from your phone. Once you enter your goals and workout preferences, the Aaptiv trainers will guide you through each workout and be with you every step of the way through your fitness journey.
App: You Need A Budget (YNAB)
Ready to achieve those financial goals you’ve set out for yourself? There are so many budgeting apps available, including You Need A Budget, to help you stay on track. By assigning each of your expenses to a specific category and tracking what’s coming in and what’s going out each month, you’ll be able to easily identify where you need to make spending and saving adjustments as you work towards creating a budget that is right for you and your financial goals.
Resolution: Organizing/Closet Clean-out
As a professional organizer, I’ve heard from so many readers that their goal for 2019 is to get organized, and I’m so happy to hear that! Getting organized will free your home of the unnecessary clutter, and it can even help you make money in the process. When you’re cleaning out your closet, take note of what’s in great condition and consider selling it on Poshmark. The Poshmark app makes it super easy to upload your item, allow others to show your closet, and once a purchase is made you’ll be sent a shipping label. It is that easy!
I’d love to know: have you tried any of the apps from this list? Or, are there any apps that you would recommend? Let me know in the comments section!
